Fit and Fall Proof™ Program
Functional fitness is the primary theme for the Fit and Fall Proof™ Program in idaho. It is a group activity program designed for older adults who want to improve their health and reduce their risk of falling.
The goals of Fit and Fall Proof™ are to enable older adults to:
- Maintain an independent, freely functioning life.
- Improve muscular strength.
- Improve flexibility, helping older adults to reach and to bend.
- Increase balance and improve posture.
- Improve mobility, endurance, and walking gait.
Fit and Fall Proof™ Classes
Fit and Fall Proof™ classes are led by certified volunteers who have received training and instruction on exercise techniques and personal safety. Fit and Fall Proof™ classes are held on a regular basis at multiple locations throughout Eastern Idaho Public Health District. Class participation is FREE and open to all interested older adults. Eastern Idaho Chronic Disease Partnership
The Eastern Idaho Chronic Disease Partnership is a group of healthcare professionals who main focus is reducing the burden of chronic diseases on individuals, families and the community. The Partnership meets every other month and sponsors both professional development and community-based events.
